Twitch Global Emote
;P
CurrentThe Origin Story
;P combines a wink with a tongue-out face. The semicolon supplies the wink and the P becomes the tongue when the characters are read sideways, while Twitch's robot artwork makes the same expression explicit with one eye closed and a bright red tongue.
The family preserves several old keyboard spellings: ;P and ;p differ only by letter case, while ;-P and ;-p add the optional hyphen nose. TwitchTV was already using that case variation in 2013, with ;p appearing in the standard set and ;P in Turbo-themed sets. Those case and nose variants are alternate typed shortcuts for the same wink-and-tongue reaction.
How to Use It
Viewers type ;P in Twitch chat to use this emote. The same family also covers ;p, ;-P, and ;-p. It fits playful teasing, cheeky jokes, deliberate silliness, or a comment where the wink and tongue together make the tone more mischievous than a normal smile.
