ChewyYAY

ChewyYAY showed Chewbacca and was released for Fortnite's Star Wars crossover around May the Fourth in 2024. Chewbacca has been part of Star Wars since the original 1977 film as Han Solo's Wookiee friend and co-pilot aboard the Millennium Falcon. Peter Mayhew originally played the towering character, and Chewbacca's nickname "Chewie" became the basis for the first half of the Twitch command, with "YAY" turning it into a celebration.

In Fortnite's 2024 crossover, players could rescue Chewbacca from an Imperial roadblock. Once freed, he followed the player into battle and handed over a Wookiee Bowcaster, the crossbow-like weapon associated with him throughout Star Wars. Twitch promoted ChewyYAY across the Fortnite category during the crossover.
