The deliberately goofy expression became a reaction to dopey, weird, or unexpectedly lucky moments, especially when a streamer succeeds in a way that looks more accidental than skillful. The surviving public record does not explain why Twitch chose the `BrokeBack` command, so the page does not manufacture a connection to the similarly named film.
