bleedPurple turns Twitch's signature color into a purple heart that drips from the bottom. "Bleed purple" became Twitch shorthand for identifying strongly with the platform and its communities, and Twitch repeatedly used `#bleedpurple` when talking about community passion.

Twitch later defined the emote's meaning directly: BleedPurple represents dedication, passion and community. In 2024 the company turned that symbolism into the Streamer Achievement Program announced around TwitchCon Rotterdam, with statues inspired by the emote for creators who reached 5 million, 50 million and 250 million hours watched. Those tiers became the Purple, Marble and Chrome Bleed Purple achievements.
