BiersDerp

BiersDerp commemorated German Hearthstone player TwoBiers becoming the first person to complete Twitch's `100 in 10` Arena challenge. The target was 100 wins across only ten Arena runs, which required a win rate above 77 percent. Amaz had reached 69 wins and Hafu reached 96 before TwoBiers finished with 103, coming close to reaching 100 after only nine runs.

Twitch turned that achievement into a year-long competition. Each month, the first player to complete 100 in 10 on stream earned a Global Emote they could design for the following month; if nobody beat the challenge, the previous winner's emote stayed. Twitch started the system with BiersDerp specifically to commemorate TwoBiers' run.

When this emote was active, viewers typed BiersDerp in Twitch chat to use it. It directly referenced TwoBiers' 103-win result and Twitch's 100 in 10 challenge, making it a Hearthstone Arena callback for attempts to chase the same ten-run benchmark.
