Twitch Global Emote

BabyRage

Current
BabyRage

The Origin Story

BabyRage is a low-resolution close-up of a crying infant. The command turns the tantrum in the image into the phrase "baby rage," making the emote a direct way to frame anger, whining or frustration as childish behavior.

The emote developed a particularly strong Dota 2 association with Artour "Arteezy" Babaev. By 2015 viewers were pairing BabyRage with his angry reactions and frustrating games, and later academic analysis of Dota 2 Twitch chat recorded the same Arteezy association. The infant in the image is unrelated to Arteezy; his stream persona became one of the best-known subjects viewers represented with the reaction.

How to Use It

Type BabyRage in Twitch chat to use this emote. Viewers use BabyRage for tantrums, whining, angry losses, chat begging for something, powerless frustration and deliberately exaggerated complaints framed as childish.
