ACShadows represented Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft’s Sengoku-period entry built around two very different protagonists: Naoe, an Iga shinobi who relies on stealth, tools and the hidden blade, and Yasuke, a samurai designed for direct, weapon-heavy combat. The code shortened Assassin’s Creed to AC and kept Shadows, identifying the game rather than choosing one protagonist as the face of the Twitch promotion.

Its launch was also supported by Assassin’s Creed Shadows Twitch Drops. Early rewards were themed around Naoe, including the Spirit Headband, Spirit Kosode and Oath Tanto, before the campaign switched to a Spirit Guardian statue reward.

When this emote was active, viewers typed ACShadows in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it as an Assassin’s Creed Shadows callout during launch streams, Naoe and Yasuke discussion, stealth sequences and the game’s samurai combat.
